My name is Kristen Davids 23 years old and former graduate from CPUT. The built environment has always fascinated me and being able to study at the best institution in Africa is a blessing.
My name is Tanyaradzwa Thelma Hungwe, but everyone calls me Tanya. I am a 20-year-old Zimbabwean girl, who was born and raised in Harare. I am very family oriented and my passions include art, gender equality, children, education and travelling. After high school I spent two years working as an assistant teacher and coach at Hartmann House Preparatory School in Harare. I spent each school holiday travelling or job shadowing to research on different career paths. In the end I picked Construction Studies because I felt there were less women in the field than men and since I love challenges, I wanted to help with bridging that gap. In addition, I saw a bright future for construction in Zimbabwe and my dream is to become a key part in the development of infrastructure in my country in the next few years to come.
